Born: In 1881 in Prees, Shropshire and baptised on 9 October 1881 in Calverhall Parish Church.
Family: He was one of nine children born to Thomas and Eliza Jane Ravenshaw. No marriage can be traced for Arthur.
Residence: At the time of his baptism, the family were living in Calverhall, Shropshire. By 1891 they had moved to Wollerton Wood, Hodnet, Shropshire. When Arthur enlisted he gave his father’s address as Lostford Manor, near Hodnet, Shropshire which was the then family home. In 1903 he appears on passenger lists travelling to South Africa, from there he appears to have continued on to Australia.
Employment: He was a farmer when he enlisted.
Death: 23rd May 1912 in Narandera, New South Wales, Australia aged 30
