Other information:  After emigrating to Canada, Henry enlisted in the Canadian Expeditionary Force, serving in Europe during WW1. His brother, Frederick William, also served in the Boer War.

Born: Henry, also known as Harry, was born on 27 July 1879 in Whitchurch, Shropshire and baptised on 13 August 1879 at St. Alkmund`s Parish Church, Whitchurch.

Family: He was one of nine surviving children born to William Crewe, a labourer and his wife Anni nee Keefe. He married Lillian Challenor in 1903 in Whitchurch, Shropshire. The couple had two daughters, Doris and Evelyn.

Residence:   In 1881 his family were living at Chemistry, Whitchurch, Shropshire. In 1891 he was living at 44 Yardington, Whitchurch. His address in 1901 was 13 Foresters Terrace, Ruabon, Denbighshire where he was boarding with other soldiers in the Imperial Yeomanry.

Employment:   He was a moulder working for WH Smith, ironfounders, when he enlisted.

Death: 10 May 1958 in Los Angeles, California, aged 79.

Other information: Harry emigrated to Canada sometime between 1903 and 1915. He then moved to the USA sometime between 1921 and 1930.
