Born: January 1880 in Bark Hill, Whitchurch, Shropshire and baptised the following month at Whitchurch United Reform Church.
Family: He was the son of William and Eliza Debanks. He married Anne Brisk in April 1904 in Guildford, Surrey
Residence: In 1881 and 1891 he lived at 3 Bark Hill, Whitchurch.
Employment: He was a bricklayer’s labourer when he enlisted.
Died: 1 June 1917 aged 37 in Bicton Asylum, Shrewsbury having been discharged from the military in 1916 on the grounds of insanity. Buried in Shrewsbury Cemetery in a war grave.
