Born: In 1865 in Myddle, Ellesmere, Shropshire. Known as Frank Edwards.

Family: He was one of four children born to Robert and Anne Edwards (nee Heighway). Frank did not marry.

Residence: In 1871 and 1881 he lived with his family at 4 Mount Fields, Shrewsbury, Shropshire; by 1891 they had moved to Tarts Hill, Bettisfield, Flintshire, Wales

Employment: He was a farmer when he enlisted.

Died: He was killed in action on 20 October 1900 at Zeerust, Marico District, North West South Africa and is buried in the cemetery at Zeerust.

Other information: He is commemorated on the Hanmer War memorial.
