Born: In 1875 in Clapgate, Whitchurch, Shropshire and baptised on 9 June 1875 in St. Alkmund’s Parish Church, Whitchurch.

Family: He was one of two children born to John Daniel and Julia Elliott (nee Elliott). Albert was unmarried.

Residence: In 1881 he was living at 7 Kirkham Street, Pendlebury, Salford, Lancashire with his brother with the Richardson family. (His mother had died and his father was in prison). In 1891 he was still living with the Richardsons at 1 Kirkham Street, Weaste, Manchester, Lancashire.

Employment: He was a painter when he enlisted.

Died: 2 June 1900 from enteric fever (typhoid) at Norvals Point when serving in South Africa.
