Other information: Glazebrook served in Malta, Hong Kong, India and Egypt. He had a drink problem which led to a number of court martial hearings and periods of imprisonment. He was severely wounded at Belfast (South Africa) on 8 January 1901.

Born: In 1871, in Clun, Shropshire.

Family: He was one of six children born to George and Jane Hayward (nee Heakin). He married Hannah Hardman in 1909.

Residence: In 1871 he was living in Union Street, Bishops Castle, Shropshire with his parents and siblings. At the time of the 1881 census he was living in Highgate, Dodington, Whitchurch, Shropshire with a number of his siblings, it would appear that his mother died the previous year in Whitchurch. In 1889 when he enlisted he was living at 1 Bolton Street, Manchester, Lancashire. The address given at the time of his discharge in 1902 was 42 South Garden Street, Bury, Lancashire.

Employment: He was a groom at the time of enlistment.

Death: In 1919 in Bolton, Lancashire, aged 48
