Born: According to his army attestation form Harry was born in April/May 1874 in Whitchurch, Shropshire.  Neither birth nor baptism could be traced.

Family: Parents not traced. He had a brother John who was 4 years older, also in the army, who signed up at the same time. No marriage traced.

Residence: In 1892 he signed up in Bury, Lancashire. Harry’s three addresses between 1901 & 1904 were all in the same area of Manchester – Ashton New Road in Bradford, Augustus Road in Moss Side, and Palmerston Street in Ancoats and Beswick.. 

Employment: His occupation in 1892 was that of Maker up

Death: No death or burial traced
