Born:  In 1865 in Whitchurch, Shropshire and baptised on 5 July the same year in St. Alkmund’s Parish Church, Whitchurch.

Family: He was the second of six sons born to Josiah Ridgway, a clockmaker, and his wife Ann. No marriage can be traced for Thomas.

Residence: From the time of his baptism until his death, he lived at 10 Waymills, Whitchurch.

Employment: He was a painter when he enlisted.

Death: During the winter of 1911/1912 in Whitchurch, aged 46 and was buried on 3 January 1912 in Whitchurch cemetery.
