Other information: Harry’s brother, Richard, also served in the Imperial Yeomanry during the Second Boer War.

Born:  1870 in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire and baptised 25 December at the Church of St Peter and St. Paul, Mansfield.

Family: He was the sixth of eleven children born to John Walker, a cotton doubler (and later a baker) and his wife Mary Sophia, nee Cullis. No marriage can be found for Harry.

Residence: In 1871 he was living with his parents and siblings in Church Street, Church Side, Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. By 1881 the family`s address was Portland Villas, Mansfied. By 1891 the family had moved to Way Mills, Whitchurch, Shropshire.

Employment:  In 1891 his occupation was a baker, but on his Attestation in 1900 he was a farmer.

Death: 29 August 1942 at The General Hospital, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia
