Born: 27 September 1878 in Haigh, Wigan, Lancashire and baptised 13 March 1879 in Haigh, Lancashire.
Family: He was one of four children born to John and Evelina Wright. He married Dora Margaret Walley in 1907 and together they had three children.
Residence: At the time of his baptism he was living with his parents and siblings in Haigh; by 1881 they had moved to Eccleston Village, Cheshire. In 1891 the family were living at The Victoria Hotel, High Street, Whitchurch where his father was landlord.
Employment: He was admitted to Whitchurch Grammar School in September 1889 and by 1900 was working as an auctioneer
Death: 29 September 1959 in Whitchurch, aged 81, and was buried in Whitchurch cemetery on 3 October the same year.
