THE RETURN OF WHITCHURCH VOLUNTEERS Five Volunteers from Whitchurch proceeded to South Africa with the Imperial Volunteers, but only two, Privates Gill and Jones, returned yesterday week. Private Connor died aboard the Formosa, and was buried at sea. Sutcliffe remained in South Africa and the other Volunteer was left in hospital.
