King’s Hussars (14th)

The 14th (King's) Hussars fought in the Boer War (1899-1902) taking part in the Relief of Kimberley (1900) and several other operations. The Regiment participated in all the battles leading up to the Relief of Ladysmith (14-27 September 1900) when they were part of General Sir Redvers Buller's army that forced Louis Botha's Boers to lift their siege of the town.
